Kiawah Magic

It’s not often I make the journey out to Kiawah Island the few times I do go I am reminded just how magical and beautiful it is.

I met this sweet family a year ago while they were here visiting family who reside on Kiawah. After a few emails back and forth I knew that their session was going to be spectacular. It was. So when I heard from Taylor again this spring asking me to once again come out to Kiawah to capture her family, it was an instant “yes” on my part.

We started out in this beautiful green and glowy backyard at her mom’s house. I love these photos so much because while they’re “at home” and casual. The girls were running around picking flowers and having fun!

After a fewf minutes of playing and giggling in the back yard when the sun was justttt right, we snapped a few more photos then headed out to go to the beach!

Once we got to the beach the magic got even more incredible. We met at the famous Ocean Course. Home of the 2021 PGA Championship, this amazing course sits on the edge of the Atlantic. With a huge beach to run and play and room to spread out it was now time to capture these sweet little girls being themselves playing in the sand and surf. Cuddles and tickles with mom and dad. Genuine vacation giggle.

As the sun began to sink the light became more and more magical. The session slowly unfolded from posed portraits to candids. Capturing every beach vacation memory you’d want to bottle up and bring home with you.

So grateful for this sweet family inviting me out into their home and then showing me their little slice of Heaven out on Kiawah Island.
