Special One Year Shoot

Last week I boarded a plane destined Florida, for the 5th time in the last few months. It seems I am headed there a lot recently, mostly for fun, our mini-moon, my brother’s wedding, my cousin’s wedding, Disney. It’s become a running joke that “Im heading to Florida… again”. This time it was different. This time, work, mixed with a family event in a very special way.

My cousin, Heather’s sweet little guy was turning one. When she called me a few months ago asking if I could come to Florida and photograph Hudson for his first birthday I had a hard time saying “no”. I checked my planner and I was free the weekend of his party. Fate was telling me to go!!

I had a hard time imaging anyone else photographing him for his first birthday. He’s the first baby among our cousin crew and how could I photograph so many other babies on their first birthday, but not him?

It’s no secret I LOVE beach shoots, so in addition to getting just “Birthday” Photos of the Birthday Boy, it was the perfect opportunity to get some great family shots of my aunt, uncle and cousins. I was itching to add “Florida Beach” to my portfolio. Even though it was cloudy for most of my trip, that blue water did not disappoint!!

So because I love these images and the humans in them, I had to share a handful of favorites. If anyone is looking for a photographer to join them on a trip to Florida, just let me know, LOL. My bags can be packed in an hour!
